I’ve designed visuals for different events and marketing campaigns at Cambridge Day, Regent Theatre, Hump Day News, the Phenomonology Research Group, and QRO Magazine, using a variety of tools, including Adobe Photoshop and Canva.
Cambridge Day
I recently organized and designed all the marketing assets for the Cambridge Day Record Store Walk (and Show!), a celebration of the commerce and creativity of a local music scene. There were a lot of participants between the newspaper, record stores, and bands, so I created a variety of visuals in various dimensions for print, web, and socials placement. Some visuals advertised the entire event, others highlighted only a portion of the day. The same theme was used throughout to preserve a sense of aesthetic unity.
Hump Day News
Hump Day News uses all sorts of images for promotion, layout, and editorial purposes. Since 2022 the website has served as a learning laboratory for exploring new techniques in order to make visual elements a more meaningful part of our storytelling.
Regent Theatre
I’ve created a wide variety of posters and promotional media for the theatre and its clients since 2022. Some were printed as physical media, but most lived out their life as digital media on our various online and closed circuit platforms.
The theatre has a big rental business, which means clients bring you assets of variable quality to assemble into something respectable. You do your best to satisfy the expectations of the client while still fielding a professional product.
QRO Magazine
The first sample below uses color, line, and images from painter Gerhard Richter to advertise a music show sponsored at the Northside Festival (NYC, 2010). The other samples from work for QRO use similarly-appropriated imagery.
