My published work divides between the academic writing and journalism, with a specialty in music coverage.
Journalism
As a journalist, I’ve primarily covered the music beat since 2007 for a variety of outlets. My coverage focus places a special emphasis on the new, independent, and experimental. Coverage formats include reviews of all types (tracks, albums, live shows), festival previews and recaps, interviews, as well as promotional copy.

Other outlets
I’ve also contributed music journalism to Deli Magazine: New England and Love Shack, Baby, whose archives have been lost to the shifting sands of the internet.
Academic
As an academic, most of my research exists in a format prepped for presenting/teaching and remains unpublished. However, I’ve left a few breadcrumbs along the way in the form of articles, proceedings, and reports — see below.
Proceedings
- “Theory and Practice in the Work of Art” The Proceedings of the Hawaiian International Conference of the Arts and Humanities (2008)
Articles
- “Dots and Data: Seurat, Sartre, and Merleau-Ponty” American Society for Aesthetics Graduate E-journal (2.1: 2009)
